The Qumran Community · a new plain-English translation from the original language
For the multitude of holy ones is Yours in heaven, and hosts of angels are in Your holy abode, to [praise] [Your truth] [...] and the elect of a holy people
You have set for Yourself in [the Community] [...] [and] the number of names of all their host is with You in Your holy dwelling, and [the number] [of the righteous] in Your glorious abode [...]
And mercies of blessing [...] and the covenant of Your peace You have engraved for them with the stylus of life, to reign [over them] through all the everlasting appointed times
And to muster [the hosts] [of Your chosen ones] by their thousands and by their ten thousands together with Your holy ones [and] [with] Your angels, for dominion of the hand
in battle, [to] [subdue] those who rise against the earth by the contest of Your judgments, and with the elect of heaven [victorious] [...]
And You, O God, [awesome] in the glory of Your kingdom, and the congregation of Your holy ones is in our midst for [everlasting] help [...] [and] [they have given] scorn to kings, mockery
and contempt to warriors [...] for the Lord is holy, and the King of glory is with us, with the holy ones [...] [mighty warriors] [and] the host of angels are among our mustered troops [...]
and the Warrior of [battle] is in our congregation, and the host of His spirits is with our steps [...] and [our horsemen] [are like] clouds and like the thick clouds of dew, to cover the earth
and like a downpour of showers, to water judgment upon all her offspring [...] Rise up, O warrior! Take Your captives, O glorious one, and plunder
Your spoil, doers of valor [...] Put Your hand on the neck of Your enemies, and Your foot on the heights of the slain [...] Strike the nations, Your adversaries, and let Your sword
devour guilty flesh [...] Fill Your land with glory and Your inheritance with blessing [...] a multitude of livestock in your fields, silver and gold and stones of
delight in [your palaces] [...] Zion, rejoice greatly! And shine forth with songs of joy, Jerusalem! And rejoice, all the cities of Judah [...] Open
[your gates] continually, to bring to you the wealth of the nations [...] and their kings shall serve you, and all who oppress you shall bow down to you, and the dust
of [your feet] [they shall lick] [...] [the daughters] of my people, cry out with a voice of joy! Adorn yourselves with glorious ornaments, and rule over [the kingdom] [...]
[...] [for] [your camps] [and] [Israel], to reign forever [...]
[...] [to them], the warriors of battle, Jerusalem [...]
[...] [exalted] above the heavens, O Lord [...]
[...]
[...] [and] [the chief] [priest] [stood]
